Chocolate Covered Bourbon Strawberries
Strawberries soaked in bourbon, dipped in melted chocolate, then rolled in chopped nuts.

- 16-20 Strawberries, do not cap
- Equal parts of Bourbon and water (enough to soak the strawberries)
- 1 1/2 cup Dark chocolate chips
- 1 cup Walnuts, finely chopped
In a medium sized glass bowl, add Bourbon and water. (I used Bulleit Bourbon)
Wash strawberries and add to Bourbon and water. Let soak for 1 hour or more at room temperature, gently moving the strawberries around so that all are able to soak.
Remove the strawberries, discard the Bourbon and water, and dry the strawberries on a clean cloth or paper towels.
In a microwave-safe glass dish, melt chocolate chips on 30 second intervals, stirring well until chips have melted.
Dip strawberries in chocolate and transfer to parchment paper or wax paper and place in refrigerator until well chilled and chocolate has set. (If using nuts, dip strawberries in chocolate then roll in the chopped nuts.)
