Lately we’ve been drinking more coffee.  I’ve always been a morning only coffee drinker but I’ve decided a cup in the afternoon hits the spot.  We like to sit on the front porch and instead of having afternoon tea, it’s afternoon coffee.  Continue reading “Iced Coffee”

This is a healthier whole grain pasta dish.  And, many of you have most of these items in your pantry and freezer.

Since we love pasta SO much, I can eat this dish and not feel entirely guilty.

I always have ground turkey on hand.  It is so versatile.  You can use it to make any dish you would normally use ground beef for.  Of course, you can replace the ground turkey in this recipe and use ground beef or ground chicken. Continue reading “Turkey Meatloaf Muffins”

We all have a go-to banana bread recipe.

Mine was always my mother’s recipe that I’ve made for years. It’s written on an old, stained index card and it’s ‘many’ years old…..
But a few years ago I started changing things up a bit adding ingredients you wouldn’t normally find in an old-fashioned banana bread recipe…

…Like cayenne pepper.
