Easy Bloody Mary Recipe

This is a meal in a glass!

This is the perfect drink when you are grazing over food during a football game or for a Sunday brunch!

We enjoyed these Bloody Mary drinks on Thanksgiving Day while we were cooking a large meal to have in the afternoon.  We had a nice breakfast of pancakes and just needed a little something to tide us over until dinner…

….and if the ‘little something’ contained alcohol, even better!

Bloody Marys were our lunch/brunch cocktail since you can actually make a light meal from this drink.  It is filling, especially if you have more than one…..SHH.

These Bloody Marys have a bit of twist with Tajin Clasico Seasoning.

Tajin is great to use on the rim of the glass.  It gives the cocktails an extra splash of color compared to using just plain salt.  And It adds a little something extra as you’re sipping.  If you are not familiar with Tajin, it is a Mexican spice mixture.  It consists of chili peppers, sea salt and dehydrated lime juice. You SEE, perfect for a Bloody Mary since this cocktail also includes these same ingredients!

We kept it quick and simple by using a Bloody Mary Mix.  Our favorite is Mr. & Mrs. T Zesty Pepper.

These garnishes can be changed up to suit your taste.
More options for garnishes:

  • crisp bacon
  • asparagus spear
  • baby pickles
  • pickle spears
  • cherry tomatoes
  • fried chicken wing

Also, this is a great drink recipe for a Bloody Mary bar and would be perfect for a cocktail party.  Just prepare all the garnishes beforehand and place in separate dishes.  Place glasses and ice bucket out for guest to choose and create their own drink!
